Dr. Hong Shyang Pei is an accomplished academic and researcher specializing in chemistry, currently serving as an assistant Professor at Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB), Brunei Darussalam. She holds a PhD in Chemistry, an MSc in Analytical Chemistry and Environmental Science (Distinction), and a BSc in Education (Hons) majoring in Chemistry. Her teaching methodology integrates project-based, problem-based, game-based, and flipped classroom techniques, incorporating interactive learning tools like augmented reality for enhanced student engagement. She has supervised final-year research projects and has been recognized for his effective teaching pedagogy, achieving high peer review ratings. As the Programme Leader for BSc Agrotechnology, Dr. Hong plays a pivotal role in curriculum development, international collaborations, and student placements.
