Launch of the Annual Report on Global Governance of the "Five Eater"Issues(2026)

On January 24, the inaugural meeting of the Shiology Committee of the China Society of Vocational and Technical Education was successfully held in Beijing. Centered on the theme“Advancing Shiance Health for All, Cultivating Skilled Professionals for a Great Nation”, the meeting officially launched the research project for the Annual Report on Global Governance of the“Five Eater”issues(2026).

The inaugural report, Global Food Systems and SDGs Report (2025), themed“A Global Review of Food-Related Challenges,”identified the "Five Eater" issues of the world's 8 billion people across 195 countries—namely eating enough; food-safe eating; eating with variety; eating for longevity; sustainable eating. For the first time, the report closely linked food-related challenges with governance capacity and introduced the Global Food Quadrant, using per capita food resources and life expectancy at birth as its two axes. This framework revealed national food development patterns, future pathways, and trends in international cooperation.

The Global Food Systems and SDGs Report (2025) was officially released at the Fifth World Shiology Forum and submitted to Siddharth Chatterjee, United Nations Resident Coordinator in China.

The 2026 report will focus on the construction of the“Five Eater”issues Index. The foreword is written by Ban Ki-moon, the eighth Secretary-General of the United Nations. The report will be jointly compiled by the Research Center for Shiology of Renmin University of China, Beijing Shiology Research Institute, the World Shiology Forum Secretariat, and the Shiology Committee of the China Society of Vocational and Technical Education, with contributions from experts and scholars from 115 countries worldwide.

The report consists of seven chapters:
