Milan Vemic, PhD. is a Full Professor of Economics and Head of the Department of Economics and Management at the Faculty of Business Studies and Law, University Union Nikola Tesla in Belgrade, Serbia. He specializes in entrepreneurship, econophysics, and finance, with a solid academic background including a master’s degree in SME financial management (2003) and two PhDs—in rural entrepreneurship (2005) and medium enterprise working capital management (2010).With rich academic and practical experience, he has served as council chairman, research vice dean, and SME expert, and has taught economics and finance courses at the graduate and postgraduate levels in Central and Eastern European countries and the CIS.
His academic achievements include 11 authored and edited books (in English and Serbian), over 100 scientific papers on SMEs, entrepreneurship, capital markets, and financial management, as well as keynote speeches at international conferences in Rotterdam, Sofia, Bratislava and other cities.
As an expert, he has participated in key international economic development projects supported by USAID, the EU, EBRD, and EIB. He also serves on the editorial review boards of several international journals, and his current research focuses on quantum approaches in AI governance and sustainable development modeling.
