Overview

Inspired by the key messages from UN Secretary-General António Guterres at the 4th World Shiology Forum, and with the aim of systematically addressing 13 Shiance-related issues within the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the World Shiology Forum Steering Committee and the Research Center of Shilogy at Renmin University of China, in partnership with over 100 co-authors worldwide, are jointly developing the Global Shiance (Food Ecosystem) and Sustainable Development Report (2025/26/27).

This groundbreaking report will be the first of its kind to examine Shiance (the food ecosystem) using a holistic Shiology Three-in-One approach, encompassing food consumers (people), the food supply chain, and the food distribution system. It will analyze the current status of food ecosystems across all 193 UN member states and assess their potential impact on achieving SDG targets. Furthermore, the report will provide systematic and feasible solutions to support the United Nations sustainable development initiatives.

The report will be developed in three phases: Version 1.0 will be completed and presented at the 5th World Shiology Forum in Hainan, China, on October 29-31, 2025. The second edition will be released in 2026, followed by the final version in 2027.

5 Key Features of Global Shiance (Food Ecosystem) and Sustainable Development Report

The report will provide support for the United Nations Sustainable Development Initiatives.

Guided by Shiology, the report adopts a comprehensive “three-in-one” approach, integrating food consumers (people), food supply chain, and food distribution system for systematic research and governance.

Experts and scholars from all 193 UN Member States will collaborate on the report to holistically address 13 shiance-related challenges within the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The report will highlight exemplary cases of enterprises advancing global shiance sustainability.

The report will be officially launched at the 5th World Shiology Forumin Hainan, China, on October 29-31, 2025.
