Terminology
Shiance Issues
Refers to the difficulties and contradictions encountered by humans in acquiring and utilizing food. It's not merely a matter of satisfying hunger; rather, it involves simultaneously securing sufficient food, promoting health, and ensuring long-term sustainability.
Shiance Industry
Refers to the social system formed by individuals and organizations involved in shiance, abbreviated as the "Shi Industry" (食业). It includes all food-related industries such as agriculture, food processing, catering, dietary therapy, and sectors responsible for maintaining shiance order.
Shiance Order
Refers to the systematic and continuous nature of human food-related behaviors, abbreviated as "Shi Order" (食序). Shiance order underpins social order; if it collapses, social order deteriorates. Improving shiance order fosters societal progress.
Shiance Behaviors
Refers to activities involved in acquiring and utilizing food, abbreviated as "Shi Behaviors" (食为). These include gathering, domestication, processing, distribution, regulation, and consumption.
Shiance Education
Refers to educational efforts designed to convey accurate understanding of shiance, abbreviated as "Shi Education" (食育). It includes both education for industry practitioners and consumers.
Shiology Triangle
The core structure of the Shiology system, composed of eater's needs, food acquisition, and shiance order.
Internet of Shiance
A computer-based network system composed of nodes including food, eaters, shiance industry practitioners, and utensils, abbreviated as "Shi Internet" (食联网).
Food
Refers to edible substances, including animal-based, plant-based, fungi-based, mineral-based, and artificial foods.
Food Transformation
Refers to the comprehensive process of converting food into bodily structure, energy release, information transmission, and waste elimination.
Eatings
Refers to food that is being consumed or is about to be consumed within a specific dining context. Eatings is a sub-category of Food; thus, Food includes Eatings.
